With Eddy's fierce gaze looking down upon me, I was told in no uncertain terms that nothing could be said about this bike until a press conference at 10:00 am local time when Eddy Merckx would get up on stage to introduce his brand new model - the EMX 5.
But really, the guy is known as "The Cannibal"....it would be a disgrace if we didn't seize the opportunity and make something happen eh? This is the first bike that marks an alliance between Eddy and his new Italian
counterpart, Fausto Pinarello. The geometry is all Eddy Merckx, the carbon is the same used to build the immaculate Pinarello Prince and there is definitely lots of Italian styling.
More to follow after the press conference...if Eddy hasn't broken our fingers!
