BOBKE: A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN
July 20, 2008

This one is courtesy of Johan Bruyneel (sitting next to Bobke in the booth); “Today was a party in Hell!” But it wasn’t a party for Cadel Evans who came up short after some really big explosions in the first Alps stage. Cadel Evans was in a world of hurt today thanks to the Schleck brothers.

Bobke’s Inside Line: Cadel may have thought they were ganging up on him, but when you’re in the yellow jersey you have to make the law. The rule of law in the Tour de France is simple - if you don’t make the law when you’re in yellow, that jersey will be taken away.
