July 4, 2008

At a press conference in Brest, Quick Step Team Manager, Roger Lefevre spoke of Tom Boonen's absence at this year's Tour de France, "I think its impossible to replace Tom Boonen...Tom took a lot of pressure for the other riders. He has the charisma of a leader. "

Roger Lefevre, Stijn Devoldern (middle) winner of the Tour of Flanders and Gert Steegman discussed the team's new focus for 2008, "We are here for the first time for the GC and we don't want to waste our resources in the first week," says Lefevre.

When asked if he dreams of winning in Paris, Stijn Devolder replied, "I'm dreaming of a victory, but it's my first Tour de France, so I'm looking at a victory a few years ahead."
