2011 was the year Cadel Evans became Tour de France champion and the Aussie made a triumphant return to Eurobike to sign autographs at BMC. Hundreds of fans waited for a chance to meet and greet the smiling former mountain biker turned road champion. Evans rode this yellow BMC Team Machine for his final Tour stage in Paris.

Cycling fans from all over the world were thrilled at the chance to meet Cadel at Eurobike.

Cadel and the BMC team rode the new BMC TimeMachine TM01 TT bike to Tour de France glory in 2011.

After his Tour win, Cadel Evans has his own shoe from Italian maker Diadora, which incorporates a synthetic fiber net in the heart of the carbon sole for better breathing and ventilation, the same technology as Diadora's owner Geox uses in their street shoes.

"Mio Amico Thomas", says Ernesto Colnago about his favorite Maillot Jaune, Thomas Voeckler.
Colnago was delighted to show Road Bike Action Voeckler's special Colnago C59.

Still only sold in Europe, the Internet-direct company Canyon was showing off a new version of their Ultimate AL aluminum frame on show at Eurobike, with Sport Pro geometry, internal cable routing and press fit BB.

Canyon also has a new VCLS Flat Spring seatpost at Eurobike, an innovative new approach to comfort
with organically shaped carbon fiber suspension plates in a parallelogram structure that allows for 20mm
of travel for the saddle. According to Canyon, the suspension provided offers better insulation from
shock with composite construction that is both light and robust.

Thems Bads! Cannondale showed two models of cutting edge urban bikes, the Bad Boy (front) and Bad
Girl (rear). Cannodale claims the Bad Boy is "undoubtedly king of Urban Commuting Bicycles and an Urban Cycle legend", while the distaff rig is sister to Bad Boy and offers "Sophistipunk. Urban mobility with attitude" (huh?) and mimics Cannondale's old school “Delta-V” mountain bikes.

Legendary Italian brand Bottechia had this R13 Emme 2 rig on show with a sweet tri-colore paint scheme that is sure to warm the hearts of Italian bike fans, with it's handmade 3K carbon fiber fasciato wrapped frame that weighs a reported 800 grams.

Go Green! Selle Royal launched this cool, eco-friendly saddle called Becoz, which features Corkgel, an innovative material made from bio-sourced gel combined with natural cork.

Cube is a hot German road and mountain bike brand that is having a lot of success all over Europe and their stand at Eurobike was always mobbed. Their top of the range Litening SHPE Race model features a high-modulus carbon fiber frameset with Twin Mold technology and internal cable routing.

No, Specialized is not following in Cannondale's ruinous footsteps of entering the motorcycle market. This motorized downhill concept bike is powered by a 50cc Honda mill and called the Shuttle. It's designed to take riders up the mountain with the motor so they can head down the trails unassisted.

Created to commemorate Specialized's founding in 1974, the aptly named new road shoe from the Morgan Hill, CA based brand is called "74" and runs with back-in-the-day looks with all the latest in material and design technology including dual Boa closures.
