Raelynn Milley, cycling coach and RBA's resident expert on women's cycling, adds her insight to Tipping Point with tips specifically for female riders:
88. Protect your assets… get a saddle designed for a women, we are most definitely not the same as men in this area.
89. Let your spouse pay for your new bike, but do not let him pick it.
90. Get over the fear of hills; enjoy the journey to the top.
91. Think of your Road ID as a diamond tennis bracelet, wear it always.
92. Stop counting the calories on your GU packets and work harder on your bike.
93. Learn to change a flat, it’s easier than you think.
94. Invest in shoes; spend two times what you’d expect and wear them more than your favorite high heels.
95. You may not need “women specific” but do focus on making sure everything “fits” specifically to you.
96. Pimp your ride, be bold, be beautiful; make your bike a reflection of your style.
97. Eliminate processed food from your diet forever.
98. Slather on the DZ Nuts Bliss for women.
99. Race at least once a year— any race; support your sport.
100. Lose the Jackie O sunglasses and get a good pair of polarized cycling sunglasses.
101. Put on a dress, go out; you worked hard for that great body, show it off.
