Raleigh is back and in a big way. For 2010, Raleigh is launching a new edition of its Team bike with a completely new carbon frame that features an integrated 1.125 / 1.5 headset, carbon cable stops and a BB30 bottom bracket. The team comes equipped with SRAM Red, Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels, FSA cockpit and weighs 14.7-pounds. The frame on the team will also be used on the lower level Prestige and Competition models.
Kestrel was showing off their new 4000 PRO SL. The 4000 PRO SL is Kestrel's top of the line, UCI legal time trial bike. Although wind tunnel data is being kept under wraps, rumors are that it's scary fast.
The Bianchi 928SL features an updated frame with integrated seatmast and lower frame weight. Bianchi completes the 928SL with a Campy Super Record group, Fulcrum Racing Light XLR wheels and an FSA carbon handlebar and stem.
Bianchi also had the Super Pista track frame. The Super Pista features an aluminum frame, aero seat tube and integrated headset. The Super Pista is only available as a frameset, although Bianchi had their display model set up with Aerospoke wheels, Record cranks and Deda cockpit.
For 2010 Fuji has redesigned their SST line of race bikes. The new SST frameset features full carbon construction with internal carbon ribs in the down tube and fork. The internal ribs are designed to increase lateral stiffness and improve ride quality. Also new for 2010 is a tapered integrated 1.125 / 1.5 headset and integrated seatmast. The top of the line SST 1.0 features Shimano Dura Ace, Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels and Ritchey WCS components.
The BH Gira is in stark contrast to the rest of the race oriented BH line. The Gira celebrates BH's 100th anniversary and as such only 100 will be sold in the US. It is constructed using Reynolds 525 steel tubing and can be set up as either a single speed or fixed gear. The Gira comes stock with both a Pista style track bar as well as a Townie style flat bar. The Gira will retail for $999.99.
Look continues to develop and refine their pedal line. The new KeO Blade uses carbon leaf springs for tension. The leaf spring design reduces weight and makes for smoother engagement of the cleat. The Blade also features a 19-millimeter pedal axle, a 15-percent larger contact area and stainless steal friction plate. The KeO Blades weigh 95-grams per pedal and retail for $499.00.
Kenda has made the jump into the world of tubulars. At the top of Kenda's tubular line is the Volare, that includes a 300 tpi casing and a light weight latex inner tube. Second in the line is the Super Domestique which features the same casing as the Volare but with a butyl inner tube. Kenda's entry level tubular is the Domestique that has a 200 tpi casing. All three models feature removable valve cores.
Hiding in plain sight at the Kenda booth was a prototype Kaliente tubeless tire. Expect this to reach production some time in 2010. Also rumored to be in the works is a tubular cross tire.
Last year at Interbike, Sidi launched their Ergo2 Carbon in candy apple red. This year they added a stunning blue to their line up.
Blackburn's Flea headlight as become a favorite with commuters due to its small size and powerful LED lights. For 2010 Blackburn will offer the Flea with an optional USB charging port or solar charger. The solar charger consist of a 3" x 3" set of solar panels that allows the user to charge the light during the day in preparation for their nightly commute.
